Threads In Forum Hard To Read Due To Background Color

I've not visited this forum for a while, and I'm surprised the color scheme has completely changed. For me, I see a lot of black text over less-black-background, for example, in the threads of conversations and the window I'm typing at this moment. I can't believe this is what everybody else sees as well, as it is extremely difficult to read. Perhaps there is a setting I need to change, but I don't know where. Please advise.

You should never see black text over a less black background. Can you post a screenshot of what you see? For example, here is what the reply Real Text Editor (RTE) area looks like right now, which on my monitor is black atop off-white background:
