I think for us refillers the latest generation cli-226 is the last straw. So get your cli-221's before canon goes exclusively tri-color, which I think is where they're headed if all they care about is maximum ink profitability. I mean if you wanna see the heights of this ink greed you only need to look at HP's 02 cartridge where 6 ml is the high capacity. Yep that's right 6 ml is HIGH capacity, whereas the starter cartridge has roughly 3.5 ml. Seriously if you see these in real life you'd be saying to yourself $10 for that, yeah right, they're not much bigger than a quarter. I think that's why it was probably the most short lived cartridge HP ever made.

Would love a Canon with clear carts. But no giveaways in the UK put instead of dollars and then some.

The HP 364 carts also only take 3ml in standard and 6ml in the XL like in my C5380. Great Printer when its working which is not often. Refilling difficult because primarily opaque. So HP also are making refilling difficult. On a new Printhead after 1 year and about 2150 pages

MX860s arrived the other day. refurbished but look brand new. came with 5 new ink carts and new print head.

saw that new print heads are going for $40 +on ebay and the 5 carts retail for $60+

newegg must be clearing out its stock to make room for the next gen canon printers with opaque carts....
