Hello

I have a strange behaviour on my Canon PIXMA Pro 9500 Mark II

After I replaced all the 10 cartridges of my canon all RED are lightning OK! After the head moved, when closed the lit, the printer gives an error 1417, the amber LED on the Printer is blinking 15 times and when I open the lid again the 7th Cartridges "Cyan" has a blinking LED.

Is this a problem of the printer, the head or the cartridges. At this moment I have no additional Cyan Cartridges to do more testing.

Is their a way to workaround?

Regards
Grard

Hi Grard
There is nothing wrong with your printer, print head or cartridges, so your problem is no big deal.

The big issue here is with the chip on your cyan cartridge that is all;
as you dont have another full cartridge to replace it with there is two things you can do.

Take the new cyan cartridge back to the place you bought it from and demand a new one that is your right,
or the easy way is to remove the chip from the previous cyan cartridge and place it on the new cartridge and dump the duff chip.

You can also use a CLI-8 cyan chip on your PGI-9 cartridge that will get you by till you can refill or buy a new cartridge.
Here is a link on how to remove the chip.. http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=41631#p41631
