Friends,

The temp in the Northern California area has been super high. We've got heat and LOTS of it.

Well, I've been noticing that I'm getting, what looks like, nozzle plugging and getting it more often. My printhead and ink are straight from my i860 where I wasn't having any problems, but the last week or so I've been getting more plugging.

My guess is that the heat may have something to do with it, but again, so many variables to take into consideration it is hard to know for sure.

What do you think? Will heat cause more drying / plugging?

Rob,

What are your symptoms of plugging? Is the problem with the nozzle check, extended print test, or general printing?

I assume that the problem is on your new 780 - what are the drop sizes on the the new and old printers?

Does your old printer continue to print properly in the same heat?

Grandad,

Symptoms are showing up in normal printing and also in the test pattern. A few head cycles usually clears things up, but sometimes I have to run 3-4 of them.

I'm using the head from my i860 and put it in my MP750, so as far as I know the drop sizes are the same.
