Hi,
I have a CISS system for an Epson RX560 and on three of the cartridges the plastic clip at the front has broken off which makes it difficult to remove them. Does anybody know if I can get replacement cartridges or will I have to buy a complete system?

If you have a CISS, why are you meddling with the clips? Once installed, the requirement to touch those clips should not arise at all if the CISS is properly installed and the clips should thus last a very long time.

I have some extra bodies with no chip carriers if you are interested. There were two generations of the plastic bodies and the dimensions of the chip carriers were different. So when looking check the chip carrier dimensions. Both generations appear the same but the lengths are very slightly different.

I've had th CISS system for about 2 years and it's been in two printers and the clips broke when I put them in the last one. This has now given up the ghost and so I had to remove them again hence the "medling". I intend buying another printer which takes the same cartridges and thought I had seen some replacements last year but now can't find them.

I am thinking of buying an Epson PX700w/710w but don't know if I can really fit a CISS system to either.

Re: the PX700W they will fit a CIS but it gets interesting when it comes to dealing with the lid sensor... Rihac (yes, them again :)) have a few documented approaches so you could do worse and look...

As to buying replacement cartridges... I wouldn't bother.. you'll need new carts, new ARC's (auto reset chips) and a bunch of other stuff that will probably cost as much again as a new kit... Besides you'll need the intel on the anti-CISs features designed into the PX700W

Hope that helps

Martin
