refill problem solved with a paper clip

Picture in your mind those little rubbery plugs used for the filler hole and the air vent hole in a refill cartridge. Easy to get out but hard to put back in. The more you press, the more the plug widens and it becomes almost impossible to insert it in the hole.

Then I began to study the small hole in the plug and had a hunch. I straightened a paper clip (the large, heavier gauge variety) inserted it in the hole, and pushed the plug in. The plug didn't get wider, in fact narrowed a bit and the plug slipped right in.

I suppose everyone knows this little trick, but not me. A slow learner.
