I plan to buy refilling supplies for a printer I need to buy for home use.

Which printer would you say is best for refilling? I print documents in black only, but I guess I will have to get a color ink-jet anyway. I don't print much,

I have been refilling HP printers with black for a long time, but their software requires me to buy new color cartridges even when I have never printed in color. That bothers me a lot when the printer refuses to print. Maybe HP has changed that nasty policy?

Therefore, I'm considering buying the Epson EcoTank or maybe a Canon that can be refilled.

That's easy. Get a laser printer. No maintenance. Economical cartridges, refilling possible but not necessary.

You may look for an Epson M100, a black only Ecotank model, you refill per bottle, no cartridges whatever. There are several M series models available including scanner.

I agree with the Laser Printer option! Much more reliable, and very low cost per page printed. AND waterproof printing!
