My print test page is missing the middle half of the grid for 3EBK of the Canon pixma ip 5000, and the printer is missing part of the black print when I print a page. I've replaced the 3e black cartridge to no avail. I hadn't been printing for quite a few weeks, and now it's not printing properly.

Ok you say you have changed your 3eBK cartridge for another one was it new or refilled,Morin said:
and was you first cartridge refilled/new also, both OEM ?
Can you tell us what you have done to clear your problem up to now and was any of it successful at all,
dont print any more pages till you can get a good test print.
What you can do in the mean time is to upload a nozzle check and let us have a look at it..
