For a long time I have been a satisfied user of G&G cartridges from www.800catalog.com. Cheap, very high quality etc. My last order included Magenta cartridges witht the vent hole located on the opposite end. the cartridges stop working 1/2 way through the use. No low ink, No clogs and no print. I have contacted the supplier and I await a reply.

It's probably clogged. You said no print. That sounds like a clog already occurred. When there is a problem it may be the cartridge, and it may be the ink that is causing the problem. G&G only makes blank ink cartridges. It does not make ink. What you got is a product from China that uses G&G cartridge but filled with unknown brand name ink. You should replace the problematic cartridge and replace with an OEM one then do a nozzle check. If it prints fine your print head is somewhat lucky to be still OK. If it shows no change you know the printer is clogged.

As I originally posted there was no clog. The cartridge was dry at the sponge and had ink in the chamber. The design has changed. Other cartridges immediately work. New style cartridges from G&G have problem. As far as G&G not supplying ink, I use them because a previous post on this sight rated them as the best color. They still print great when they work, but i am concerned with the new design.
