my dinosaur printers are going strong, now up to 2,120 refills

my printers are between 14 and 18 years old, see pics for nozzle checks.
- MX700 introduced 2006
- MP980 introduced 2007
- MX870 introduced 2010

i keep waiting for them to stop working, but they keep going and going...

been refilling since 2007, up to 2,120 refills, much thanks to the members here

was wondering if others have had similar canon printer longevity

The printers you have are well over the hill, but because they came from a time when quality build and reliability was what really mattered.. the newer print heads only last 5 years and don’t like compatible inks..

But Canon have since learned from their mistakes, and now produce shite in regards to longevity, my ip4500 finally gave up the ghost but the iP4700 that I gave to a friend is still going strong, and now only have an i9950 and a 9500 from 2010, but once their heads gone that’s it..

been refilling since 2007, up to 2,120 refills, much thanks to the members here

I note from your signature that you have some real beauties still in stock and will be able to print long after most of us old folks are gone, the days of refilling these carts are closing and it won’t be worthwhile anymore with the latest models..

I will say you are the refill king here with no exceptions and the Durchstich Method has served you well, I do hope your carts hold out too, because some of mine has developed a few leaks..
