Hi guys, was just wondering... I regularly print nozzle checks to save my print heads but I've recently noticed that the bottom Black has some ink missing but only on the [BK] part (bottom left and I have no idea why the actual bars look slightly off with this scan but I promise they're actually fine). Any thoughts? Thanks.

The best thing Id suggest you do is to print out another one and post it because your current one is all over the place
so commenting on any bit of it would be a waste of time, try again.. :)

Hey!

Scan just the dye black part of the nozzle check, and scan it at the highest dpi possible with no adjustments (desreen, unsharp, etc). Check the "use the scanner driver" box, hit "Scan", then go to "Advanced mode" and make sure no adjustments are used. Select just the part you want to scan and set a higher resolution than the one in the list by typing it.

This is my scan at 2000dpi:
Printed on normal copier paper: http://postimg.org/image/5r0uegcbl/full/
Printed on high resolution paper: http://postimg.org/image/fg66cusad/full/

I think you will notice that not all your dye black nozzles are firing all the time. It's not just on the [BK] part, you can see it on yellow, dark cyan and dark magenta too (left part). Check the dye black bar on the scan and compare it to mine.

That looks like the Photo black is experiencing an ink flow problem as it's starting strong far left and then printing using a reduced output within 2mm...

You're probably best getting a new CLI-526BK cartridge and/or flushing your existing one, drying it (partially - not bone dry) and then refilling being careful to prime it as per the suggestions here:
