woot has the white one for $79.99 plus $5.00 shipping it is a one day sale or until sold out one thing i noticed at the bottom it says printer comes with starter ink good for 80 pages LOL WOW any ways can we get a quick review on this printer are the cartridges resettable just incase i may want to purchase one, the cartridges are the CLI-250 and 251s

The cartridges are totally opaque, so visual inspection of ink levels is impossible, and no resetter is available and will probably never be.

Mikling has done some tests, and offer these refillable third party cartridges with intelligent ARC chips.

Yes this printer does come with start-up cartridges which hold very little ink and are useless for refilling because they only take 4 ml of ink at a time, plus the chips are not resettable, in a nut shell they are total rubbish for would be refillers.

It’s the one time where you are forced to use compatible refillables which comes with ARC chips and they work very well plus as far as I know Mikling is stocking these cartridges and inks as a good alternative to the lousy OEM carts !

Are these starter cartridges required to be used at first installation of these new printers? In other words, you cannot bypass the starter cartridge altogether and use a full size retail cartridge to install the printer with?

The compatibles I used on my MG6320 went directly in without problems.
The next generation this will not necessarily be the case.
