You cant go wrong with the MG5340 it has just about everything that you could want in an AIO.
It has all single cartridges which can be refilled, Auto Duplex, Wi-Fi, scanning and prints very fast.

Refilling is essential dough because it has a tendency to drink ink.:th

Hi Hat !

I assure you it was unintetional. It is already deleted.

1- Thanks for your comment and the reassurance about this printer.
Something is still strange to me. Price of the very similar but older model MG5240 is MORE than this newer MG5340.
Do you have any idea why? Could there be any advantage to buying the older model?

2- The other point you raised about high ink consumption; do you recommend any other model with similar price tag which is better in this respect?
Actually, I'll be using this printer in a small office so the need for too often refilling could be a bit of trouble.

Thanks, in advance.

I have no idea why or how Canon price their printers but the older printers are usually better made
but saying that there is not much in the difference in either of these two chosen printer.

Most if not all of the new Canon range of A4 printers have the same tendency to waste ink
but the A3+ pro 9000 doesnt have that habit and the cartridges in it are much larger so less refilling required.

Its a bigger older printer with a larger footprint, bigger price, doesnt scan, no duplex, no Wi-Fi, but prints fast
and is very easy to refill, a real good all rounder and loved by many, in fact ten times better that the MG5340..

Hi the HAT!

Thank you so much for your professional input; very useful, as usual.
I always appreciate the unconditional support I get in this forum and especially from you.

I think I will go ahead with the MG5340 as it better suits the needs of a small office. I guess I have to live with the more frequent refilling.

Thank you and God bless,

SAFAI
