I've had 3 straight PGI-5's start to streak on the second refill of pigmented black ink. This last time i drained the pigmented black out and refilled it with the same black i use in my CLI-8-BK, dye based black ink. now prints fine, so doesn't' look like a print head issue.
any ideas or suggestions ?
also what are the drawbacks to continuing to refill my PGI-5 with the dye based CLI-8-BK. i am aware of the longevity and the possible smears if it gets wet.
much thanks
J
