The last months I notice that a lot of refill ink manufacturers are claiming to make better inks that should be lightfast and fade resistant. What's true about this ?
I soon need to buy some refill ink and the latest Inktec CLI-521/PGI-520 inks are claimed to be more lightfast and fade resistant compared to the older CLI-8 ink: the latest inks are considerably cheaper (-25 %) than the older inks. This is very strange.
Also Sudhaus is now selling an improved formula which should be very lightfast and fade resistant.
Is it that the quality of refill ink is nowadays so good and strange colour casts are mostly from the past that manufacturers are now competing with the lightfastness of their inks ?
Can someone confirm these inks are indeed better than the previous generations and should we as members of the website test the claims of the ink manufacturers ?
