still digging into replacing the waste pads of my MP830(D=91%, 37,000 pages). got it apart, replaced the pads. the waste pad kit had 3 parts that i'm not sure of the install
the parts(see pics) are:
QC1-9030-000: waste tube joint
QC2-0085-000: drain tube
QC1-7464-000: platen ink protect sheet
looks like the clear tube and joint fit onto the middle tube. not sure about the platen cover. maybe to somehow keep ink off the rollers.
any ideas ?
also should i try to clean out the bottom of the waste tubes ? like poking a Q-tip up there to clean it out some ?

Misc: Squeeze bottles - so much easier than syringes
