MG 6150 dismount head to clean

i have read the excellent cleaning instructions but dont know how to get the head out of the machine.

Any idiots guide?

The print head removal procedure is the opposite of the print head install procedure, done when setting up the printer.

With the printer turned on, open the printer as if you would change a cartridge. When the print head carriage is in the change cartridge position, pull out the printer's power cord without first switching off the printer. Remove the cartridges and lift the print head locking lever. The print head can now be lifted out from the printer.

This instruction is for installing the print head in a Canon iP3600. Maybe your printer is so similar, that you can use this instruction backwards:
