Hi

I have a canon TS5050 and when I print a nozzle check pattern the colours turn out fine. But when I try to print anything with red or pink or purple in the picture, those colours are all wrong. Reds torn brown and ugly. I use the printer to print logos and colour representation is very important!

I try changing the settings within the print dialogue box, but nothing really seems to make muc of a difference. Can anyone help?

I have attached a pic of the nozzle check pattern and then a pic of how my cyan, magenta and yellow print out (try not to vomit when you look at the magenta)

I'm sad to say. but the printhead is defective. The second photo shows an electronic defect causing missing pigment black, cross contamination between cyan and magenta causing both colours to become dull and unsaturated and some clogged nozzles cause banding in both cyan and photoblack,

Thanks for your reply, this is very sad news lol

Is there any hope for it? Is the electronic error with the printer rather than the computer? If I bought the same printer it wouldn't have the same issue would it?

A print head costs the same as the printer does so I may as well replace the printer.
