HI All. First I want to say "wow" what a plethra of info on here! Thats awesome. Does anybody have any experience taking out the print heads (pf-05) in a ipf6300 and soaking them? Both of my print heads are coming up now with error messages saying they need to be changed. Seems pretty straight forward enough but i wanted to see if there was any updated info of what works best. Windex still the go to solution? warm water bath? I have one print head on order and will probably order another one but thought i might as well try soaking them. The printer had been sitting unused for a few months because of a move. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have the dreaded print head error message replace print head then you wont get anywhere trying to clean them.

Changing the print head is straight forward enough but when you pull it out to replace or clean them
you end up wasting loads of ink and filling your maintenance cartridge.

You may have to order a set of ink and maintenance cartridges to get the printer running again,
its like getting heart surgery done and lots of blood is need for that too.. :(

Thanks Hat. ....Sigh. I was afraid of that. This printer is seriously starting to tick me off. I already have most of the Inks in. and a newish maintenance cartridge in. I received one print head today and another is coming in a few days so I think I'll wait till I have both of them before I install em. Also, I saved my old maintance cartridge, any thoughts on cleaning it up and reusing it at a later date?

Ive done that and wore the tee-shirt; unfortunately
the maintenance cartridge wont either without the use of a new chip or a resetter..:(
