I have yet to encounter a clear cart, consequently I have been trying to figure out what the interior of a cart looks like. I have been filling PG-40s & CL-41s with pretty good luck. A picture of the interior of a cart & how it all works would explain a lot to me.
Thanks,
Roger

Epson L800, 1400; ML-2165W
A Canon CL-511/211 opened cartridge (click for larger image):

You can see three chambers in the cartridge, and in each chamber a square mesh/filter. There are differences in size of cartridge, sponge and number of nozzles, but the construction principle is the same.
Ink goes from the sponge, through the filter, ink channel and it's pushed through the nozzle by a bubble formed by a heating element.

Hey thanks Tudor..It's no wonder that carts have so many problems. If I was evaluating the whole inkjet idea, I would say that "it will never work"!
