Hi all,
I am looking for info regarding inks to refill my Epson SX130. I have seen on some net shops that there are inks specific for each brand, and also inks that can be used for several other brands. My question is will any type of inks can be used to refill, if not what will happen if such inks are used? Are printers sensitive to type inks?

thanks

A very good first question BUT.

Before anyone on this great forum can answer correctly and point you in the right direction
it would be great to know where exactly you are in this beautiful world.

North, South, East or West.. ! :)

Hi, I currently work at rihac and work very closely with printers via our inklink products. The answer to both your questions is yes. The ink does matter when you are refilling, certain printers will use its own series of ink. This type of ink can be used amongst multiple printers however it does vary significantly when you are refilling a cartridge with ink that could possibly be for a different branded printer such as Canon or Brother. If you use the wrong type of ink you will notice that your prints will come out with a blue or red hue to everything. The best thing to do is to contact the supplier and ask them if they have ink to suit the SX130.

I hope i've shed some light on this for you :D

There is universal printer ink around, and it's cheap. It's the cheapest solution, but not the best!
So it's better to use dedicated ink for your printer. Just google on 'Epson SX130 ink' and different offers will show.
The prices are different, and so is the quality.

You also have to invest in empty refillable cartridges, because the Epson OEM carts are hard to refill.

So how much do you want to spent? Do you want photo quality or do you simply want to print text? For crisp business documents you need the more costly pigment ink.
Also: High quality ink will generate less printhead clogging.

The Epson Workforce wf-3520 dwf http://www.epson.co.uk/gb/en/viewcon/corporatesite/products/mainunits/overview/11959 with refillable cartriges and OCP pigmented ink or even something cheaper like these http://www.ebay.de/itm/280754267479 combined with http://www.aliexpress.com/item/For-...fillable-ink-cartridge-128-129/471170937.html

is just like 30 / 26GPB / 40 USD for 400ml Ink and refillable cartriges same amount of ink with OEM Cartriges is aviable for 390 (!!) saving above 90%

the printer itself retails at 94.99 / 115

I sold this combination to 5 people so far all of them are student at the University of Hamburg: university is starting soon and everyone is going crazy about printing for exams and stuff, all of my "customers" I do know myself
