I always have been Epson inkjet consumer for over 10 years and the problem I always have with Epson inkjet printer is that the ink cartridge dry very quick. It seems that I have to printer every single week just to keep the ink not drying. If it is dried up, I'll have to use the clean utility, which basically just throw away my money. This is ridiculous! Are there ways to compensate or reduce the ink dry up in Epson printers?

Lately I just purchased a cheap $100 Lexmark wireless printer, copier, and scanner printer from Wahl-Mart and to my surprise, the ink cartridge hold up very good. I don't have to constantly print every single week to keep the ink cartridge from drying up. Unless Epson fix this problem or if there is a work around, I'll never buy another Epson printer again.

There is a program called MIS Autoprint available at MIS supply ( www.inksupply.com ) that can be set to automatically print a copy anywhere between every day to, I think. once a week. I have mine set for every 4 days at 2100 and am very pleased with it. I have a Canon Pixma MP600.

Okay, I think I found the autoprint you're referring to in inksupply. It seems that I will have to keep my PC turn on all the time for the PC scheduler to work. If it needs to have my PC turn on all the time then I don't need their piece of software. I can do it my self. I can schedule a print job myself without paying for inksupply's software. It's easily done. What I want is something that does not require the PC to be on or something that will keep the printer from becoming clogged or ink to dry up.

However, on a side note, the price of an Epson Stylus Photo R800 ink cartridge is way over priced in this site. Why would anyone pay $19.24 plus shipping when they can easily pick it up from Best Buy for $13.49?

I programmed it for a time when I will be on my computer anyway and the software is a free download. I could do it manually but chances are I will forget. I don't think you will find something to cure your problem that isn't computer dependent.
