Major question, does the wf-7840 have the exact same print head as the et-16650? By contrast and comparison, I originally had a wf-7610 with a CISS, and it produced satisfactory 13x19 art prints. I tested an et-15000, which is supposed to have a much simpler print head than a wf-7610, it was noticeably more blurry, especially on "fine lines", so I'd like to avoid this. That's why I ask if the wf-7840 and et-16650 can produce the same image quality as each other, as opposed to the et-15000 not being on par with my old wf-7610.
Yea, my 7610 died, after about 8 years or so of service. Good machine, but I'd like to move on. If I do go with 7840, I'm considering the European model (dtwf), since it does not block 3rd party chips (auto reset). But then again, I did tend to struggle with the use of a CISS from time to time (it was never really sealed, causing some colors to drop out or not suction through properly). At least with the et-16650, it's all by design and should hopefully not give me such drama.
My only concern is, again, that print quality I'm looking for. If the et-16650 is not on par with the wf-7840, I'll probably go with the 7840. My activities include 13x19 art prints (for the most part), but on the side, I do stickers and shirts (stickers needing that extra sharpness, especially on fine lines), but shirts not needing it since they just melt/blend after application.
