Darn! Cyan stopped printing after a cart change last night. It was not possible to flood the parking pad with windex, fluid would drain away as I watched.

Upon limited disassembly I found the tiny hose that exits the BACK of the parking pad (not the bottom hose) came loose. Had to use forceps to re-attach.

Service test print perfect afterwards.....

Grrrr.....

Thanx...it should be good for a year or so..

Upon manipulation of the purge unit gearing, one of the cams that operates some of the mechanisms BUMPS RIGHT INTO THIS HOSE during cleaning. That's what appears to work the hose loose from it's mating "nipple" on the pad. Design issue?

You could try to glue a thin piece of plastic or wood to the purge hose to prevent the gear from rubbing against it all of the time..:)

The hose needs to be longer and repositioned out of the way of the cam. Stiffening it won't help. Barbs on the nipples might work. Or perhaps some sort of adhesive.
