I'm brand new to this forum and have a question which may seem unusual. Our printer cartridges seem to use up ink quite fast, and we do not do a large amount of printing. In fact, a rather small amount (ex. high school papers, one-to-two page business letters, and such). This printer is used in our home, not a business. Now, my question. The printer is located right beside a home-use Honeywell air cleaner which constantly blows quite a bit of air in that area. Is it possible for this constant air flow to cause the ink in the cartridges to dry up more quickly even when not used, or is the ink encased in the cartridge to the extent that the air flow would cause no problem?? I have asked around and no one seems quite certain about this, so I hoped this forum would be able to shed some light on this. I always buy the HP cartridges from a reputable dealer and have no thought that there is a problem with quality. I would appreciate any thoughts about this as I will need to rearrange the small(ish) den if this could be the answer to going through quite a few ink cartridges. Great to find this forum!!! :) :) Thank you!!!!

The answer is no the air blowing will not cause your cartridge inks to dry up in any way.
You could try getting the high yield cartridges instead of the standard one.. :)
