HP 45/78 Ink for Mac OS X

I was at a second hand store this past weekend and saw a box full off new HP 78 and 45 ink Cartridges They were $2 each, so I bought them all 10 of them figuring that I could find a OS X Leopard compatible printer(s) they might work in. If I couldn't, I could always "recycle" them for credit at an office supply store. What are some reliable Mac OS X friendly printers that would work well with these cartridges? Thanks.

HP Deskjet 930 C is one printer that uses the 45/78 cartridges, and it looks like a Mac OS X driver is available from HP site. There are other HP printers that use these cartridges. From a cartridge vendors site you can compile a list of printers, and check if a Mac OS X driver is available from HP site.

I remember one problem with the DJ 930 : The win 98 driver for USB did not work, you had to use the parallel port driver. These printers are that old. So with your compiled list you can start searching second hand stores. Good luck in finding one.

i have an old 870cxi from the early 90's that uses those carts. printer is still working, i keep it loaded with just envelopes.

yes, uses a parallel driver/port.
