The short version is how the heck can you make a simple copy?
Yesterday I needed to make a copy of a two page, letter sized document. OK, fine, I open the document feeder, insert the pages, and select Copy on the touch pad.
Then I get what I feel is a ridiculous number of options to go thru. I go thru them all, make an error by printing both pages on one sheet, and try again. This time, I can Not find how to print on Plain paper. All I get is premium gloss, premium matt, and a ton of other photo paper choices.
OK… so I Google the manual and read the Copy section and under Paper Choice all you get is to select the right paper.
Being in a time bind, I wound up scanning to PDF and printing that out.
So how can you put in a document and copy it????
Going from memory, here’s the Copying options I picked:
Density – no change
Remove Background – Yes
2-Sided Copying – No 1>1
Layout – Borderless
Reduce/Enlarge – Actual size
Paper Size – Letter
Paper Type – this is where I can Not find ‘Plain Paper;’ it’s not listed.
Paper Source – Cassette 2 (lower cassette), which is where the plain paper is
Document Type – Text
Quality – Standard
Documentation Orientation – Portrait
Binding Direction – ?? Probably picked left edge…
Binding Margin – don’t remember this one either, but shouldn’t matter..
Expansion – Standard
Dry Time – Standard
