how can I reset...CLI 551...cartrudge on canon pixma IP 7250?

I am afraid youre out of luck regards resetting the CLI-551 chip.
The only think you can do is to hold in the resume button to override the ink monitoring sorry..

ufff...I tried 1min...2min...5min...and nothing...I tried with long holding power button...turn off printer with holding button power...disconnect the power cable and hold down power button...hold the power and Resume buttons...but still nothing...

It works this way only, you have to wait till your prompted by the printer to change your cartridge
and this is done when the resume button flashes orange.

Now hold in the resume button only and no other (Flashing Orange)
keep your finger on it for more than five seconds and then release,
this will then allow you to continue to print.

Youll have to do this for each individual cartridges in turn but its only needed the once on each
and you wont have to do it again after that,
please make sure you dont run out of ink by checking the cartridges regularly..
