hopefully a gift that "keeps on giving"

taking a shot at the "gift that keeps on giving", so thought i'd share.

a few weeks ago some family members were complaining how their kids(one family w 3 kids, another family w 4 kids) print all the time and that they are buying cartridges on a weekly basis. i asked them if they ever considered refilling, they said they heard that refilling never works and ink gets all over.

so.... decided to set them each up with:
- canon MX860 (refurbished)
- 5 pre-drilled ink carts - german method
- 4 oz bulk ink for each of the 5 carts(10 refills CLI221s, 6 refills PGI220)
- squeeze bottles w needles, scabbards, presented in "tasteful pink" container (see pic)

will tell them part of the deal is to teach the kids to refill.

hopefully a gift that "keeps on giving"

Kids? Squeeze bottles? Colored inks? Ever heard of paintballs?

This is paintballs without the balls. I'd teach them NOT to refill and hide those squeeze bottles.

not quite paint balls but will include a box of gloves and suggestions how to avoid spills/leaks.

the older teenagers should be able to handle it.

If they're buying ink every week I'd have set them up with an 4 color Epson and a CISS and just be done with the fiddling.
