Where can I purchase prefilled cartridges wc-6.
I always bought my cartridges from Alotofthings and used the Procolor with no problems, are they the only place that sells them?
Any input of a good cartridge to use like the Procolor would be helpful, I have a Canon Pixma IP6000D

Thanks

1. Hobbiclors sells only bulk ink
2. Hobbicolors does not sell anything labeled "wc-6"

If I didn't refill myself, I would probably buy refills from :

They are a TrueStar dealer whose refilled carts have proven to be reliable.

I would verify with them, that they are indeed shipping TrueStar for your printer model.

WC-6 has been replaced by the newer UW-8 series for the CLI-8 cartridges, but is backwards compatible with BCI-3/BCI-6 series. However: the wider gamut will force you to make changes in your printer profiles to have the colours printed out accurately. I have made some custom profiles for the Hobbicolors UW-8 for my Canon i9950, IP6600D and the MP780 printer to overcome this.

I have been using Alotofthings Procolor carts and bulk ink for my BCI-6 refills, with great sucess on a i-9900 printer. For the last two days I have been trying to contact them, there web site is down, and their telephone is disconnected. Doesn't sound good!! Now I need to get another set of ProColor carts and cannot find a source. If I cannot find these, what would you recommend other them OEM Canon carts? As far as bulk ink, I found a source called Marco Enter that sells bulk dye ink for $14.95 per 454 ml. There web site is: www.macroenter.com. They sell empty carts simular to the Procolor carts with removable plug for $6.45 ea. But again, I would like to find a source for the ProColor carts, as they have worked flawless. If anybody can help me on this, I would appricate it. Thanks

I have used Procolor cartridges from Alotofthings in the past on my 3000 and 9900 printers. They were supposedly Formulabs ink, but may not be the same as the bulk ink that they sold. Although they worked quite well I had contamination problems on both printers with the cyan carts. I now refill with Image Specialist inks.

If the Formulabs inks were sold to a Chinese company as they announced, the Procolor carts may be a thing of the past (if Formulabs inks were indeed used).

I think Alotofthings is not in the ink and cartridge business, they have sold their business out, due to health reasons. They now sell swords knives and poker chips. I too have tries contacting them and the number has been disconnected. Brady, you may want to look at http://www.inkjetsaver.com/. They carry quite few things for the canon. I like the clear storage clips http://www.inkjetsaver.com/bci6clip.html they show the orange ones but they just carry the clear. I ordered a set of their refill cartridges, they carry Premium Imaging Products brand, along with these I also got several of the bottom fill for the BCI
http://www.inkjetsaver.com/bci-3 fill adapter.html. It appears like they have a lot of neat stuff for the Canon family.

What i am interested in is how other members vacuum fill these BCI cartridges and where you can find affordable, for just home use vacuum machines or equipment. Most that you find are for the HP.

Thanks to Fish and Arnie920 for you valuable information. I have some G&G tanks that I purged today, removed the rubber plug and tapped for a nylon 8-32 Knurled head screw. I am going to order from Hobbicolors and try thier ink. They certainly have had good reviews and the price is right. Arnie, let me know how you like the bottom fill tank. Looks like it would work well. In a sense, somewhat like a vacuum system as you are forcing the ink into the sponge area direct thru the bottom port. I did email Dave with Hobbicolors and they do not sell empty carts any more. They ran into some problems and decided it was not worth the effort.

Some G&G BCI6 compatible ink cartridges are known to have quality issues. Can you keep this forum updated if your G&G carts work well for you? Thanks.

I just refilled 16 G&G carts for my i9900, with good success. Eight are in the printer and eight in reserve. I did a through job of purging and drying. Upon refilling, the sponges soaked up fast, and I released excess ink from the top of the sponge by blocking the breathing hole and sqeezing the sides of the cart . Buy the way, I tapped the refill hole with a 8-32 tap, and purchased 8-32 nylon screws with a knurled head. Works great and the head has the clearance in the printer.
