Hello everyone, first of all I would like to thank everyone taking the time to read this thread.

I am currently using my Canon MP510 printer with a custom PC I built running windows 7 Pro. Lately, my pictures have been coming out all yellow and black. Black and white printing is fine... but its just as if magenta and cyan are not even there. I have done several cleanings both regular and deep and I get the same results. doing a nozzle check yields these results:

I have since taken out the print head and have attempted to clean it myself, with no change.
Do I need a new print head?

That is the worst nozzle check I have ever seen. You may be having a problem with your purge system. Here's how to tell:

Open the cover and when the print head stops in the middle, use a syringe, eye dropper, or bent straw to deposit some Windex, or other window cleaner, or just plain water on the two black pads off to the right where the print head parks. Then close the cover and do a head cleaning and open the cover and see if the liquid is still on the pads. Report back your findings.

Also, what kind of ink do you use?
