HEy everyone, my name is Sean. I am new to the site. I'm a photographer based out of Philadelphia PA. I was referred here by Keith Cooper from YouTube. He thinks I may be able to get answers here. So, I have a Canon Pro ImageGRAPF-1000 that gets an error message of 5C00 when I power it on. I noticed that the printhead does't move during the ink purge. I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work. I've attached a video so you can see what I'm referring to. I hope someone can help me. -Sean

According to Canon error codes 5C00 means :

"Purge Unit, Purge cam sensor error. There may be foreign objects or the orange protective tape inside the device blocking the print head carriage".

It seems there's something wrong with the purge cam sensor. It's either damaged, dislodged or there's a foreign object covering this sensor.
Sorry, I can't help further because I don't own a Pro1000, No idea how to fix the issue,
Hopefully, somebody else here with more knowledge in this matter will chime in later.

Hi @SML215
I am new here, too. I have attached the image from Canon's code errors for this printer, which is not too helpful. If you have not done the unplug trick, that is worth trying.
Note that it is reported that some have left their printer unplugged for 24 hours and have it work again. That does not make sense to me unless some corner case design flaw was missed and never fixed.
Wish I could be of more help.
