Hi,

I bought a used canon Pixma ip4200. It came with a boatload of generic carts (white box, no brand name).
The carts are horrible. Usually I can only get a couple of prints before a cart clogs and I even had a chip fail.

I replaced one really troublesome cart with a OEM cart and all problems with that color went away so I know it's the carts.

Is it a good idea to start with OEM carts when using refilling?

Thanks

I't been my experience (and many others here) that Canon OEM carts perform far superior to ANY OTHER carts for refilling. Nuff said?

I agree. See if you can pick up some empty OEM carts that have not been refilled. Purge and refill them and you will be in business.
