Anyone here that might be able to help me with this problem.

I received a maintenance tank full message on muy 3800 so i shut down the printer went out to buy a new one $25.00 got back home
put the new one in using epsons procedure and still no maintenance tank error.

Epson will not help, so maybe someone here has had the same problem, and maybe i can work it out with him or her !

i am using original inks and tank from epson,

any help appreciated.

Did you rub off the chip with a pencil eraser ? Sometimes this helps.

Can't remember who it was (pharmacist possibly?) who found that some cartridge chip resetters can also reset the waste ink/maintenance tank on the bigger printers..

That may be a solution.

That's true: the particular blue resetter. However it can only be reset before it falls below 15 % for the maintenance cartridge and before 5 % for the cartridge chips. Have a look at my topic about big test of refillable Epson Pro 38000 cartridges.

No is still not resolved, actually found a service center they are asking $300.00 to service the printer...

What do you mean by: Epson wont help? You have indicated that OEM inks and carts are being used-should make Epson happy. What did they say in their refusal? I just purchased a 3880 and certainly don't look forward to similar entertainment.

Thanks, irv weiner
