epson p50 ciss / trying to get 100% pure black

hi guys,
i am printing from my epson p50 using inkjetcarts ciss and inks
but the black ink is not pure black
mr. ross told me its photo black
but, isn't there a way to make it real black? or as close as possible?

All of them! LOL
If it is photo black then no. My Artisan 720 also uses Dye inks and the black is not as black as pigment.
It will never be as black as Pigment black. Unless someone else can come up with an answer.

After Profiling my Epson R285 (almost identicall with the p50) with ArgyllCMS black and dark areas got much more dynamics. I could always suggest an custom profile for every paper

Canon, Brother, HP, Ricoh etc.
Yes custom profiles solves many gray balance problems. But certification proves that a printer is behaving like it should.
