Hello everyone,
I just recently purchased the above printer and I'm looking at a CIS system for it. I came across this one listed on amazon.com and wanted to see if anyone here had anything good or bad to say about it.

I've also taken a look at the piano book system that Leonard sells but its about $50 more then this system. What do you think? Would you recommend one over the other or even a completely different system altogether? Thank you for your time.

That looks identical to several I'm using with Epson and they work very well. However you can find it on Ebay for about half that price w/free shipping. There are a couple other types that work fine too and are even cheaper.

I had a CIS on an Epson R320 that looks identical to the one in your link and it worked fine. However, I'd rather have one like the "piano" that attaches to the printer - makes moving the printer much easier. It takes up less desk space and, well, it just looks so cool.

It appears that several forum members are very happy with the piano. I'm sure Leonard's reputation is important so if you have any problem he'll take care of you. Take a look at this thread: ( http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4838 ) Yangstar is having problems with the Amazon version. If you have to fret with the cheaper version for a few weeks to get it working you'll end up wishing you'd parted with the extra cash.

Thank you, reneauds.

It was a pleasure meeting you and your wife.

The install method he is referring to is using an X-Acto knife or a utility knife to trim the plastic.

Fast, clean and easy.

Enjoy
