I have put some 3rd party, IMS, ink in the original cartridges. The results, are, horrible :(
So, I'm going to move to G&G. Do I need to use a set of new virgin cartridges?

if so, where can I get those virgin cartridges for cheap :)

Thanks for the help!

G&G come prefilled with ink. No need for virgin carts unless you are going to refill. Toss the IMS ink. It is touted as universal for many brands of printers. get inks that are formulated for your printer. If you are using a Canon of a generation prior to the newest ones MIS and Formulabs have a good reputation on this forum. Also consider Hobbicolors inks. They sell a kit that comes with virgin carts, and the whole kit costs less than the inks from the other vendors. You can buy virgin carts from MIS (a bit expensive). Another choice is to look up a thread on this forum on purging or backflushing the Canon bci-6 and bci-3ebk carts. You will need to assemble a simple device, but cleaning the carts is really easy.

G&G is really a manufacturer of blank ink cartridges supplying hundreds of 3rd party compatible ink cartridge manufacturers (who fill these cartridges, package them and sell them with their own brand names) from China and possibly other regions. You may buy from many different retailers in the US of the same G&G cartridges for Canon. But you may not get the same ink in them. I am not positively certain that G&G prefills and sells prefilled cartridges, as this may cause a conflict of interest to their cartridge customers. By selling prefilled cartridges G&G will easily beat any competition from those (customers) who buy blanks from G&G. It makes very little sense for G&G to compete with their own customers. Based on this it is not too hard to imagine you will get differenk ink in the same G&G ink cartridges (prefilled) by simply buying them from different retailers of prefilled G&G ink cartridges. Some will be excellent ink but some may not be as good and some may be poor...
