This is my first test with a sheet of 80gsm plain paper with a gelatin coating. The gelatin coating accepts dye inks without problems. The upper two pictures are printed on plain paper, the lower two pictures are printed on the gelatin coated paper. The coating gives an improvement of contrast, but a regular matte photo paper is better.
I think results can be improved with experiments with type and concentration of gelatin, temperature and application and drying methods, and printer settings. But it seems the method works with dye inks. So I will continue experiments.
