What is the difference between the 94 and 98? It looks like the same capacity. Are they interchangeable?

No they are not. The body is the same but if you turn it over it is like a HP 96. The HP 98 is a half version of the HP 96. The HP 98 has 600 printheads vs. the HP 94 which has 416 printheads. If your printer does not specifically support hp 98 do not use it in the printer. Hope that helps!
