Hello all

I have been thinking about setting up a CIS for my all in one. I first had seen them while traveling in Thailand, and have wanted to set one up ever since. I understand that the printer that I have is not the ideal, as it would need to be modified. I am not afraid... I have come up with a plan for routing the piping. and very certain that it will work quite well.

My question is, I need to find a kit that has low profile CIS cartridges with resetting chips, and would prefer that the bulk tanks were not full upon arrival. I would like to be able to route the piping through a slot cut into the side of the printer without making a mess.

Also have any of you guys set one of these up on a MP620?

Thanks in advance. smoky

Hello again

I didn't seem to find anyone with an opinion on a system for my printer. I ended up getting this. http://www.echostore.com/continuous-ink-ip4600.html They seemed to be the most straight foreword with the difficult install. Anyone have any dealings with this company? Just curious about quality if the kit and ink.

My new CISS came in the mail yesterday. I had made a plan to make it work as there is such a small amount of space inside this all in one printer. After about an hour of tinkering with the piping location/slack ect. It prints great. I have to admit about 30 min. in I was starting to worry that it wasn't going to work well. I will say that if you are not very sure of yourself this might not be a good choice.

If anyone is going to try one of these I would gladly let you know what I did to make it work.

Can you please describe, how you made it? Perhaps with some pictures? Did you mod your printer to fit the CIS inside? Can your lid be closed when printing?

Sadly I didnt see this post earlier; I was on a pretty near situation, but with MP990 (as described on the other thread).

I searched for a CISS, and pounded several sites; Checked out one, and found it owned to a host for several clone-sites, all the same owner, one of them is the one you suggest. I didnt like that, so I continued searching until I found rihac, suggested by other user around here with a canon MP, Spiderman.

i still not ordered yet, since I was expecting any commnet/review. I think I must to leave to top lid (scanner device) openned.

Was considering to drill on a side of the printer for the installation, instead leave de scanner lid open, what do you think?
