Here's a picture of the underside of a printhead on a printer used for years on a daily basis.

I guess it's time for a little head cleaning or shampoo?

Was I the only one thinking

No cleaned up easy and should have been done a whiile ago but I was too busy /lazy. The fibres hanging around will eventually not allow the priming pump to work properly and would have eventually not be able to pull a vacuum due to the leaks. My posting was in serious jest that it NEEDS to be looked at. Leaving it alone could also eventually burn the nozzles out if the printhead is not primed properly.

So Stacy, sometimes when things need attention they really need it or else you are likely to do more damage if left unattended. That is one reason why all my automobiles and equipment last so darn long.
