Hello,

I bought another canon 9500 from a person who shipped me this machine.

The machine was previously tested in cam and worked fine.

Now once arrived it says paper jam even if there's no paper stuck inside.

My fear is that some sensor or something got mess up during the shipment, there's anything that I can do in order to check if I can unblock the sensor? where's located ?

Thanks

That printer was not working before you got it, and the demo you saw was probably from a previous time when it was working.

The most likely cause of the sensor error was from a paper jam that was removed incorrectly, by pulling the paper back out the way it went in, (For reference all paper jams should be removed by pushing the paper through the normal paper route, i.e. out the front.) Never pull the paper backwards, try cutting the page up in pieces if that helps..

I can’t help find the sensor that causing the problem, (It may be bent backwards) but here is a PDF which will help you diagnose the problem with the top cover off, good luck..

No the demo was did in videocall with the user right before the shipment. So I was sure it was working.

Oh and I found that this piece got broken, it belongs to the upper part of the printhead, please take a look, not sure if it has anything to do with this.

Thanks for the pdf.

It most likely doesn’t but at least you have the part to glue back in place, but does that mean the print head was not secured turning transit. ?

Examining the paper path carefully might help you locate the paper sensor that’s giving the error, and if you can’t reset it maybe short the wires on the back and disable it..
