Canon Pixma TS8160
Hello all,
I have recently relocated from Australia to the UK. Brought with me my photo printer - Canon Pixma TS8160.
It seems that this is an AU model and is is region locked to AU. The 680 / 681 cartridges I use are not available here.
Canon tell me that the region setting cannot be changed, but is there another solution?
Will the 580/581 cartridges (which look identical) work?
I guess I 'could' get cartridges sent from AU, but that's not exactly sustainable.
Or are the refills worth it - they gummed up the print head of an old other brand printer
Thanks is advance!

I'm not familiar with that model but some carts can have their chipped changed to fool the printer into thinking it has the correct region carts. Hopefully someone will chime in soon with a solution for you.

One of the best ways around this is to use ARC chips from AliExpress..

Just purchase the normal European OEM carts as normal and replace the chips with Arc’s, that way you can continue to use OEM carts going forwards.

It’s much better than getting carts delivered all the way from Auss..
