I have a Canon Pixma MG5160 printer configured to be on the home wireless network. However, when I try to print a document from the PC, I get the message "Printer Not Responding" in the Canon IJ Status Monitor.

There is no information given that I could use to understand this problem and debug further.

The LAN settings on the printer are aligned with the home network.

The printing works when I connect the printer to the PC with the USB cable provided.

Please provide any assistance that you can.

I don't know very much about wireless networks, I have a wireless network with a Linksys router using WPA-PSK encryption, MAC Address filtering and broadcast SSID disabled, but I only use the wireless network for internet connection for my laptop.

This thread is also about wireless connection problems, see post #3 and on. Also note post#9 about windows firewall : http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=8153

Maybe you are using MAC address filtering? Then you will have to add the printer's MAC address to the router's list of permitted MAC addresses before trying to setup/connect, I think. Maybe this will also work with your printer for finding its MAC address?: http://www.technipages.com/canon-pixma-mg5200-find-mac-address.html

As your printer is MG6150 I guess you are located in Europe? Then check out this: http://www.canon.co.uk/Support/Cons....aspx?faqtcmuri=tcm:14-776501&page=1&type=faq and this: http://www.canon.co.uk/Support/Cons...ng the Machine to the Network (Initial Setup)

I don't know if there different procedures for wireless connection of US and EU printers, different protocols may be used? Therefore the links to Canon UK.

Good luck with the troubleshooting and setup
Peter.
