Printer Model
Canon PIXMA iP4700
Good evening to everyone,

I am new but I really appreciated some tips and tricks I read in the past. Two days ago a friend of mine gave me his old PIXMA iP4700, which is still in very good conditions. Printer worked perfectly: yesterday I switched it on but nothing happened. Green power led stays on for let say 30” and after that switches off again. In those 30” no noises came from the printer: it does not perform normal boot-up cycle. I tried to change power plug, with and without cartridges, with and without print head but nothing changes: always the same behaviour. I tried all the procedures I found to reset the printer: nothing. Pressing for 30” the stop/reset button, makes the orange led blink continuously (I didn’t noticed any blinking pattern) but nothing happens as well. While the green led is on, the pc find the printer but as in idle status, no error code is showing. I am running out of ideas...please help!
