Hi,

Firstly thanks for taking the time to read this, hope you can help!

I had a few instances of the orange light flashing on/off but ignored this and managed to get around it buy switching it on/off a few times (wish I'd looked for this forum earlier). Printing then ok however now the green light is flashing steadily on/off for about a second and constantly repeating. Tried to switch it off with the front button but no response, unplug it and of course the green light goes off but when plugged back in - the green light flashing returns.
Printer status window says that firmware is updating ???? I certainly haven't tried to do this.
Any light that can be shed on this would be much appreciated, I would like to repair as print quality is very good.
Plus I have just been quoted $120 for fixing - I could buy a new one for that.

Hope someone can help, Thanks again.

I believe this printer may also be known as an i960 if that helps?

Or should I start looking for a new printer?

Getting slightly worried by no suggestions on a fix :(

Thanks

Paul

You need a service manual, how many times you count the green blinking?

Thanks for the reply Smile:)

The green light is continuosly flashing, it stays on for around 1 - 2 seconds, goes off then comes back on for the same amount of time. It repeats constantly.

I have seen a service manual on ebay for the i960. Do you think it is worth getting?

Thanks

Paul
