Canon i560 Help with print head

I was really dumb and loaned my mother my printer while gone on vacation. When I came back found out that it would not print very well. Come to find out she had used one of those cheap refill kits on my 560. I saw that Grandad35 had posted a way to take a printhead apart but not sure if that would work the same way as this one. I've tried soaking it in alcohol to clean it and nothing is working except the black. Thank goodness she did not refill that one. Any suggestions on getting this to work again? I cannot afford a new printer at this time so your suggestions would be greatly appreciated (I know never loan my printer again ).

Try 50/50 ammonia and warm water, not alcohol, and just soak the printhead part in it, not the entire printhead carriage. Try leaving it in an hour, if that doesn't work, try overnight.
