Hi,

i'm planning to buy the Epson R1900 and want to buy a continuous ink system with it, but i'm having trouble choosing which ink to go with it. I read somewhere here that the best ink available is from "Image Specialists". I found their website and the inks for the R1900, but they seem to offer only 5 of the 8 inks necessary:
http://www.image-specialists.com/search_master.aspx?search=r1900

Efillink seems to be offering all the inks, while it also says they are from that same manufacturer, which i find a bit strange really (scroll down to the two bottom offerings):

I already emailed Image Specialists to ask about this, but i also would like to know if there are more, equally high quality alternatives? Maybe the inkjetfly.com ink, or others that are any good? I read somewhere that prints made with Inkjetfly inks are even more vibrant than the ones made with Image Specialist inks. Don't know anything about the durability of them though.

I've been busy with this almost all day already and still i can't seem to make up my mind.

Hey thanks, i've read somewhere though that the inks InkJetFly is producing have also been independently tested on longevity by Aardenburg (http://www.aardenburg-imaging.com/acceleratedagingtests.html). Results are not available for public, but rumour has it that they were also very good.

By the way, i got an answer from Image Specialists regarding offering all the inks for the R1900. Seems that i did or there was something wrong with their website. They do indeed sell all inks for the R1900. If you want to buy directly from them it is possible from 5 kg per color. A bit much for me to start with :|

Shandanik,

I am from Ghent (Belgium too) and I use this same ink for my Epson Pro 3800. You should go to www.precisioncolors.com as IM is the manufacturer selling only to wholesellers. You cannot buy it as end user at the IM-site.

Hello Ghentsche Feasts!!

Antwerp here.

I asked them in an email and they said they would sell to private buyers too, but anyways it would be in too big quantities for probably any person not being a wholeseller to buy.

I today bought me the R1900, and am so happy with it. Did some test prints with it and the results are just amazing.

Up next i'm going to buy me the BigFoot CIS system from Inkjetfly, including his inks, and let some prints be tested by Aardenburg. After that i'll try the IM inks and go for a testing on them too.
