B200 error. I'm sure you are all sick to death of hearing about it. As a beginner on this forum, can anyone explain the basics etc. Canon Pixma MG5350. Many Thanks.
It’s not looking good for your printer, but try lifting the top cover to bring the print head to the centre of the carriageway then pull the plug from the wall socket.
Next remover all the carts and then the print head, wait 5 minutes and reverse the procedure by putting everything back as they were.
Now power on the printer and wait to see if the error message has cleared, if it has then good, but remember this method will only work for a short while and the error is sure to return, and if you’ve still got the error, then a new print head or printer is required, sorry..
Note that there is a lot of similar components to the "fixes".
FYI - never put a cartridge into the print head when the contacts are wet. An electrical short can happen and you will probably then need a new printer.
If these one of these fixes work it is still likely a new print head or entirely new printer is in your near future.
Since Canon no longer makes your print head, and only used ones are available, start researching a new printer now.
The QY6-0080 printhead is still available from some regular Canon spare parts dealers in Europe. The best offer is from CRC Tasktron in the UK. The MG5320 and MG5350 printers are identical except for different regional coding, so the printhead also fits the MG5320. CRC Tasktron doesn't officially ship outside the UK, but a few posters on the forum have reported being able to persuade them to ship outside the UK.
But with added customs and taxes and shipping costs the best economy might be buying a new printer.
