Artisan 800 CISS Air Filter Issue

In the two years I've had my CISS connected to my Artisan, the removable air filters on the tank tops have taken on the color of the ink below them. The media inside looks quite damp. Is this normal? Is some sort of maintenance required?

The CISS performs well...

Replace them as air will not flow well.
Or rinse them and dry them well.
